Mary’s Woods Has a Doggone Good Idea!

Here’s a doggone good idea: Donate Your Vehicle!

Ready to retire a car, motorcycle, boat or RV?  Donate that vehicle to Mary’s Woods to benefit the Resident Fund!  Our partnership with Charity Connections makes the process easy!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Click here to go directly to the Mary’s Woods vehicle donation page.
  2. Complete the online request form and submit it.
  3. A representative from Charity Connections, which is a non-profit arm of the Volunteers of America Oregon (VOAOR), will call you, answer your questions and schedule a convenient time to pick up your vehicle.
  4. VOAOR handles all the logistics for you!
  5. You will be mailed a donation receipt after the vehicle sells. If the proceeds from the sale exceed $500 dollars, you will be mailed an official IRS tax form 1098c, certifying actual sale value (for sales over $500.00, VOAOR is required to request your social security number which will appear on the receipt). This letter shows the IRS that you are authorized for a charitable tax deduction.
  6. VOAOR will do everything it deems possible to maximize the value of the donation and will sell the vehicle in a manner to get the most return, be it wholesale or retail. The net proceeds of the vehicle will be divided 50% to Mary’s Woods and 50% to VOAOR.
