O’Neill Building Solar Energy & Environmental Impact
One of the coolest things about the PGE Grant and solar energy at O’Neill is being able to see live results of the environmental benefits including CO2 emissions saved and number of trees planted. Click here to see an up-to-date visual of the positive impact on the environment.
With the generous support from PGE’s Renewable Development Fund, Mary’s Woods has installed solar panels on the roof of the O’Neill Building, allowing us to bring 84kW of clean energy electricity to the Mary’s Woods community and beyond.
“As a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, Mary’s Woods has a strong commitment to steward resources responsibly and we strongly believe that solar energy is a way to do this. This is an important project which will demonstrate our commitment and values to the community, and we believe it is the first of additional solar projects that we will undertake in the future. We look forward to partnering with PGE to make this long-term dream and plan come to fruition.” – Kim Scott, VP Finance Administration & CFO
