Music in the Woods: a Unique Portland Experience

With artists that include an Oregon Symphony associate principal horn, an internationally renowned female trio from Ireland, and the beautiful voices of the three young artists from the Portland Opera, the 2014-2015 Music in the Woods concert series sizzled and delighted once again.

And if the talent wasn’t enough, the exceptional welcome from the Mary’s Woods community and the splendid acoustic of the Provincial House Chapel added to the spectacular musical treat.

“The audience at Mary’s Woods is special because we feel we can perform any classical compositions and the audience is totally into the music,” said Jen Arnold, a member of Mousai Remix, an award-winning quartet which performed in this season’s series.

The concerts often resembles a family affair. The mood carries over into the wine and cheese receptions that follow each performance, where artists and audience members get to meet one another and share what they felt about their experiences at the day’s event.

The Music in the Woods Concert Series is one of the many ways Mary’s Woods demonstrates its commitment to vital aging, community building and the celebration of life. The 2015-2016 Music in the Woods Concert Series Season Ticket are on sale now. More info:
