Mary’s Woods Announces Philanthropic Speaker Series

Philanthropy – Changing the World One Gift at a Time

Charitable giving is a key part of many people’s estate plans. The generosity of our generation has tremendous power to help shape the future and create a better tomorrow.  Understanding the impact of our resources and ensuring they leverage meaningful benefits is key to leaving a lasting legacy.

Join us and be informed, engaged and inspired.

As part of our commitment as a non-profit organization Mary’s Woods partners with the broader community to provide value added resources to a larger audience.  One of the ways we are living out that commitment in 2016 is hosting a 4-part Philanthropy Speaker Series.  We are kicking-off the series with a dynamic presentation illustrating the remarkable success of the Knight Challenge.  Though thousands took part in this Challenge world wide, leaders in our own Portland non-profit and corporate communities spearheaded the campaign.

Drew Hunsinger shares inspiring story behind $1 Billion Knight Cancer Challenge

In the first installment of Mary’s Woods philanthropy speaker series, Drew Hunsinger shares the inspiring story behind the successful campaign, which reached its goal in only 22 months. Join us to learn how charitable giving like this has made a difference in our community.
