With more than 25 years of experience in the culinary industry, Zack brings a deep passion for hospitality and an unwavering commitment to excellence to his role at Mary’s Woods. His career includes leading dining operations in a wide variety of settings, from the fine dining rooms of La Jolla to vibrant hotels in Palm Springs, luxury spas and resorts, and one of the most successful scratch-cooking chain restaurants in history.

But it’s senior living where Zack truly feels at home. He takes pride in his craft and in serving others. To Zack, food is more than just sustenance – it’s a means of connection, comfort, and tradition. Whether it’s a meticulously prepared dish or a simple, heartfelt meal, Zack strives to bring people together through shared dining experiences.

Outside the kitchen, his greatest joy comes from his two incredible daughters, whose brightness and curiosity inspire him every day. When he’s not working, Zack loves the meditative rhythm of woodworking, the quiet challenge of backpacking, and the patience and precision of fishing. These activities help him stay grounded and remind him of the beauty in simplicity and craftsmanship.

Throughout his career and personal life, Zack has learned that true hospitality isn’t just about food or service but about people. At Mary’s Woods, Zack is grateful to be a part of creating moments of warmth, joy, and connection for residents and staff.
