Tom Markgraf
Tom Markgraf is currently the Director of Government Affairs for TriMet, the Portland region’s transit agency. Prior to this, he was an employee of the U.S. House of Representatives 3rd Congressional District under Congressman Earl Blumenauer for nearly a decade. As a private consultant, he specialized in funding large infrastructure projects including light rail, major bridges, and funding for Oregon’s state roads and bridges.
An Oregon native, he graduated from Central Catholic High School, Oberlin College and the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
He has served on numerous boards including the Oregon Board of Maritime Pilots, the Oregon Investment Board for the counties within the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area; Outreach Ministries in Burnside; Mental Health Services West; and several chamber and business associations.
He is married and with four children. He and his wife live in Portland.
