Human Resources Director

Jennifer Joslin Brown brings over two decades of human resources experience across public, private, and nonprofit sectors to her role as Human Resources Director at Mary’s Woods. She leads the organization’s Human Resources department with oversight of all HR functions, including employee development, total rewards, compliance, and workforce strategy. Her leadership reflects a genuine commitment to community, collaboration, and a people-first approach.

Since joining Mary’s Woods four years ago as Talent Acquisition and Development Manager, Jennifer has built strong partnerships with leaders and team members at all levels to create a better employee experience. Focusing on both operational excellence and culture, Jennifer has played a key role in strengthening HR programs that support employee engagement, performance, and organizational growth.

Before her time at Mary’s Woods, Jennifer spent 13 years with Clackamas County as a Human Resources Analyst, where she guided complex workforce planning, compliance, and employee relations efforts. This public-sector experience provided her with a solid foundation in HR best practices, regulatory knowledge, and strategic problem-solving skills, which she now applies in senior leadership to promote the mission and values of Mary’s Woods.

Outside of her professional life, Jennifer is dedicated to her family and her three dogs, Penny, Milo, and Kona, who keep her active and grounded. She values balance, wellness, and community—qualities that shape her leadership style and her dedication to creating a supportive, thriving workplace.
