Announcing Our 2020 Spring Festival Series

February 16
Musical Emergency Response Team

Musical Emergency Response Team, with our own Bill Crane at the piano, is back to open the season with a characteristically wildly varied program of chamber music, song, and even a theatre piece, all of which promises to be a great antidote to the gray skies of winter. Special guest Gretchen Corbett, one of Portland’s favorite actors, will join in as narrator for Francis Poulenc’s charming ‘Babar the Elephant.’

Sine Nomine

“Going for baroque.” Bad pun, but great music. The vivid rhythms, wonderful harmonies and touching pathos of baroque music is so widely admired — who couldn’t be thrilled when Sine Nomine, the intimate, special baroque ensemble featuring local virtuosi playing genuine 18th-century instruments, brings a program of their favorite works to us. Up for dancing a saraband, anyone?
