Sister Carol currently serves as a member of the U.S.-Ontario Province Leadership Team for the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. Prior to joining the Leadership Team, she worked in education where she taught every level from kindergarten through graduate students.
During her tenure in education, she served as an elementary school principal and vice-principal and as a department head at the high-school and university levels. She has served on national, and international committees, and was a member of the Marylhurst University Board of Trustees.
Carol received her BA from Gonzaga University. She holds a Master of Education from the University of Portland, a Master of Divinity from Marylhurst University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Washington Theological Union. Carol enjoys exploring theology, justice, ethics and spirituality with students and she loves giving retreats and presentations helping individuals make connections between spirituality and the call to be people of justice.
Carol has been involved in the Mary’s Woods Community through work on projects with the Spiritual Care Department and as a cantor for Masses and prayer services.
