Human Resources Director

Alison has over 25 years of professional human resource experience and is passionate about helping people and organizations thrive. She is an authentic and collaborative leader who is excited to partner with the Mary’s Woods Executive Leadership Team to further enhance the team member experience organization-wide and help foster an even stronger culture based around Mary’s Woods mission and values. Alison holds an MBA from the Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette University with a concentration in human resources management and marketing.

Alison’s career path has taken her through a variety of industries including healthcare, retail, local government, non-profit, and hospitality, helping her acquire extensive best practice human resource knowledge, skills, and abilities. Most recently, Alison served as a long-time member of the Multnomah Athletic Club’s Executive Leadership Team directing all strategic, operational, and functional activities of the Human Resources department. Additionally, Alison also holds the highest certifications from the HR field: a Senior Professional in Human Resources “SPHR” certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute and the “SHRM-SCP” certification from the Society for Human Resource Management.

Alison is a native Oregonian who grew up and graduated from high school on the eastside of Portland. She loves travel, music, her pets (two French Bulldogs named Roxy and Cupid along with a Scottish Fold cat named Harley) and the outdoors. She is happiest when spending time with family, friends, and her pets at their second home in Oceanside on the beautiful Oregon coast.
