Dr. Albert Munanga is the Director of Health and Clinical Services for Mary’s Woods.
Albert served ERA Living for nine years as their Regional Director of Health, Wellness, and Compliance. There, he oversaw all quality improvement activities, developed service standards and outcome measurements, provided clinical support to nursing teams, and directed all wellness staff and programs. Alongside his work with ERA Living, he has served as Chief Clinical Officer for Serengeti Care Partners (SCP) since 2016. As chair of the SCP Executive Committee, he provided strategic clinical advice to SCP Home Health and supported SCP’s expansion to five branches.
Albert holds a Doctorate in Behavioral Health from Arizona State University and both a Bachelor and Master’s of Science in Nursing from Excelsior College in Albany, NY. While earning his Master’s, Prestige Senior Living promoted Albert to Executive Director, having previously served that community as the Senior Health Services Director. He is a published author with multiple professional articles appearing in JAMA Internal Medicine, Journal of Gerontological Nursing, and the Washington State Nurses Association.
His professional experience includes work on the Quality Committee for both the Washington Health Care Association and the American Health Care Association. As a featured conference speaker, Albert has presented on topics such as leadership, risk and infection management, clinical documentation, and customer service. He currently serves as Honorary Consul General for the Republic of Zambia.
